Celebrity Summer Nail Trends
Like many others, I’m constantly trying to keep up with the latest celebrity manicure trends (obviously, whilst baring my budget in mind). A flawless manicure can appeal to everyone, especially when sported by our much-loved celebrities!
The great thing about nails is that achieving that sleek lavish look needn’t be expensive, so I’ve decided to list the three most common trends to appear from celebrities this summer, along with a few top tips and affordable recommendations on how you can achieve each look.
1. The Ballerina or Coffin Shape
This shape has taken this summer by storm with the likes of Kylie Jenner and Beyoncé rocking it. Recently, I opted for this shape as I couldn’t decide between my usual fierce ‘Stiletto” shape or the neat and classic ‘Squoval’ shape. But put the two together and voila! You end up with the ‘Coffin’ shape. Best of both worlds I’d say!

Kim Kardashian has been spotted in Rome donning baby pink, coffin shaped nails. Personally, I think it ephasises that dazzleing rock on her finger, don’t you?
2. Pastel Colours
Pastel colours have also been big this summer amongst celebs such as Rihanna. The bright yet warm and smooth colours go great with colour-adventurous outfits or with stylish night out on the town attire. It is safe to say that pastels are the in thing this summer.

To get the perfect pastel nails like the celebs, Barry M’s Silk range have the perfect pastel coloured nail polishes, retailing for a smashing £4.99. Affordable luxury!
3. Nude
Nude nails have been a popular choice for some time now. However, it seems that this summer the trend has sky rocketed! It’s my usual go-to nail colour as it goes with absolutely everything. Perhaps the same reason it’s often seen on celebrity fingertips, as it doesn’t clash with their Swarovski diamond incrusted dresses or banana yellow Lamborghinis!

Nicki Minaj flaunted her simple but sexy nude nails at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this summer.

Big brands such as Marc Jacobs, Mac and Christian Louboutin have a selection of lovely nudes but to achieve the celebirity look you don’t have to go for the most expesive options. You can get the perfect nude within a lower budget and still pull off nails that look just like our favourite celeb’s! Win-win situation in my opinion!

Rimmel London sell some fabulous nude nail polishes that retail for only £2.99, so take a trip down to your local Boots or Superdrug store now!
That’s the end of my top celebrity summer nail trends! It was fun while it lasted. Goodbye summer and hello my top celebrity autumn nail trends perhaps?

I absolutely adore the “coffin” shape! I saw it on Kylie Jenner’s instagram (in a deep, dark purple) and had to have it… luckily I have been growing my nails for a while so I could get it done right away. I had to show the picture to my manicurist on my iphone, she didn’t know what I was talking about! I love them, the only problem is that I’m worried they’re weaker than my usual square shape. I have to say I don’t like the nude look though… to subtle for me.
I love the pastel colors! I like the look of the ballerina nails, but it’s more ‘inspiration’ for me than something I could really wear. The nude look can be beautiful but I think it depends on a lot on what you wear with it – there needs to be contrast somewhere or it all looks washed out (to me).
I love the Barry M pastel nails, you just can’t go wrong with some barry M for cute colours.
I have never really been a fan of Barry M, they get so much hype though, I really must give it another go. I do think they have a great range of shades, and the prices aren’t bad, I always used to think the quality wasn’t up to much though.
I luv the cuffin nails they are dope I so want them for my bday
